Groomers Direct Nor Cal is a unique grooming supplies company established to service professional
grooming salons, mobile groomers and private groomers.
A bit of history
It all started with a van stocked full of exceptional supplies for professional groomers, bathers, and apprentices and their grooming needs. We’ve since grown to service more than 250 shops and are launching our online store in 2025 to help celebrate our 10th anniversary.
Customers have always enjoyed the opportunity to touch, feel, smell and see what they are buying before they hand over that card and today is no exception with our free samples program (for qualified customers).
Shawnee Sordini started the business in January of 2015 with the help of some truly wonderful people, especially her very supportive family, good friends and helpful suppliers. We will be forever grateful to all of them. Above all, this business was created for our customers who have welcomed us into their grooming shops, vans, trailers and homes. They are our driving force to make this business work for them.
Our customers and our team have created a trust and respect for each other over the past ten years. We carry exceptional products and hope to win your long-term business.
Get to know Shawnee
My name is Shawnee Sordini Owen. I’ve owned and operated Groomers Direct since 2015.
I had a Mercedes sprinter van and offered personal service to grooming salons all around Northern California. I set up the van like a store scheduled at certain areas at certain times of the month and the groomers would come in and shop. My routes took me from Monterey to Healdsburg Ca and from San Francisco to Lincoln CA. And all parts in-between. It has been the time of my life.
I didn’t know much about the grooming industry when I first started, but through perseverance and the teachings of the wonderful groomers here in Northern California I got to be very knowledgeable about the products I sell.
At the end of 2024 I made the difficult decision to close my wonderful Van mostly due to unaffordable insurance rates in CA. At the same time, I really wanted to continue to offer the best products for professional groomers and take care of my customers so I decided to give-a-go to the world of online shopping – we launched GroomersDirectNorCal.com!
